Born and raised in sunny Manchester, I studied at the Manchester Grammar School and graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2.1 BSc (Hons) in Economics. I was on the graduate scheme at Rolls-Royce Plc, prior to entering the recruitment world.
I’m also a 6’3″ vegetarian, who doesn’t like vegetables.
I typically work with candidates on an exclusive basis, with an emphasis on face to face meetings and quality of recruitment consultancy, over quantity of candidates.

Whilst reading about James Caan’s ventures in the recruitment field, I came to realise that I enjoyed interacting with the in-house lawyers more than drafting and reviewing extensive supply agreements…
Having built up a strong referral network and client-base through successfully assisting candidates, from NQ, through to Associate and Partner-level, we decided the time was right to launch Aurelius Legal; a wholly independently-owned recruitment consultancy.

We would rather find the right firm for one candidate and guide them through the process from 1st interview, through to salary-negotiation, handing in their notice and aftercare… As opposed to “spraying and praying” with multiple CVs and playing the recruitment lottery to see what lands.
This ensures a consistent level of quality is maintained, having met the candidate in person to understand their needs, experience and disposition; whilst minimising duplication of CVs sent to firms = win/win.
