Why Aurelius?

In actual fact, the name was the last thing to be decided. Deliberately!

Ultimately, it was about finding something which meant something personally, but also reflected our identity as a company and specifically represented our core values which underpins our service to our clients and candidates.

To any fellow ‘stoics’ out there it’s probably already obvious. And to those who are simply intrigued (we hope!), we felt that our core values as a business were closely aligned with the key fundamental principles of Stoic Philosophy, which include:

Focusing on practical application as opposed to purely intellectual (to us this is a reflection of our focus on applying our market knowledge to assist both our clients and candidates);

Turning problems into opportunities (a client may have lost a key member of staff; how can we assist in managing the perception of this to the market in order to attract new talent); and

Serving as a collection of reminders, tools and aids (for sustaining high standards of service and being careful to avoid diluting this as we grow).
